My first day at camp shelby

After you dropped my off and came back and said goodbye again I went back inside and got ready to leave. We loaded the buses and were on the road by 9:30 (perfect time hack:)). We met SSG Scott who led us into the tarmac and waited for the cav to show up and we then loaded the plane. I felt kind of weird to be getting on a plane from the runway. It kind of felt like we were leaving and going over to Iraq. You know like on the movies were everyone gets on and leaves to go to war. Anyway, we landed and some guys met us and we loaded the buses and headed down the road for about an hour. I called ahead and coordinated to have someone meet us at the gate and there were able to wave us through. We got there and the guys put there stuff in the barracks while me and the platoon sergeants met with the 1SG. I put all my stuff in the room and that's when I made the video. Today (Sunday) we went and drew 4 sets of ACU's, boots, helmet, molle gear, and a bunch of other stuff. It was great! just like Christmas! After that we went and watched these movies on all the mandatory briefings. It was terrible. Right now the redskins game is on. I think they just took the lead. I'll give you a call tonight. We have Thanksgiving day off, but other than that we are going to be training every day. I may end up shipping back some gear, because of all the new stuff they are giving us.
